Current Development
I am now trying Graphical User Interface (GUI) applications. I am writing a code for a calculator application like the one in your Windows. Some part of it is already done (before I started building BrickBall). lets see....
BrickBall
Swine Flu is on the headlines. All colleges are closed for the week. So I had lots of free time. I was learning GUI in JAVA. And I came across this wonderful tool to create animation in JAVA called Greenfoot. I downloaded it that night and set to work. On the third night from that one (tonight) I am ready with BrickBall. Thats what I call my new game based on the popular computer game DX Ball.
Objectives are simple:
1. A ball is moving around in a 360 x 360 pixel arena. And u control it with a pad in the bottom (using left and right arrow keys).
2. There are four bricks. Destroy the bricks.
This is my first animation game. BIG LANDMARK! its kinda fun.
Here is the download link--
BrickBall.jar
Now It may happen that your system cannot run BrickBall.jar, in that case may be your computer does not have a Java Runtime Environment (JRE). You will need to install it first. Your computer needs it to run any program written in JAVA. Download it from here and install it. Its pretty straight forward. You should not have any problem with that.

My apps
Hi everyone. I am using this blog as a launchpad for the applications that I have created. I am an amature programmer and aspire to be a very good professional one. Here are some of my programs.
This is my latest big program. I've been working on this since the exams and its taken about a month to finish. But I am quite happy with this. This is a complete software application that acts like your own personal digital diary. You can write stuff in this and the software will keep it safe for you. You are required to use a password without which you are denied access to the data. The data which you enter is encrypted for better security. There other security features which largely go unnoticed, like the fact that you cannot install this on an existing installation in the hopes that existing data will be erased. This if attempted is prevented by the program. So at the end if the day I would say that it if safe (if you are not a hacker).
Every diary entry is labeled with the current system date and time. So it behaves like a real diary. You can maintain proper diary using this software. Else, you can also store sensitive data in this (passwords, bank account numbers, credit card numbers etc.).
This software is open source, meaning that the source code is available to all and if you a a coder, you can modify it and use it. In this way the software only gets better and better.
Enough talk. Here is the real thing. I have upload my files on 4shared.com. download links are provided.
The Target Practice series is a series of four console games (many are aware of the existence of only one). I was inspired to write such games by a game for mobile phones called 'Worms' (the final product does not resemble worms in any sense though...!).
This is their order of development. Each previous version was used as the framework upon which the next version was built.
TP 1.0 is the mother of the series. It is the heart of all the four games (from a coding point of view). But it is nothing other than that.
TP 2.0 was much better. But still it was not a true single player game.
TP SP was the best. Better looks than TP 1.0 and a better interface than TP 2.0. It was a true single player game.
TP 3.0 was a true two player game (Both players shoot each other).
A single .rar file containing the .exe files and the source codes is uploaded on 4shared.com. The download link --

My Diary.rar
This has everything in one single rar file (the setup file, the main file and the source codes of both files).
Click to download My Diary.rarJust the executable files of My Diary
This does not have the source codes. Just the setup file and the main file. Run the setup file first.
